Dear friends,

I am back from our two weeks off. It was a trip full of views, tea, treats and sketching.

Along with other members of The Quiet ADHD Club I set myself an inconsistently consistent challenge of doing a sketch every day. My parameters were that I could have 2 free passes and that what I made could be either a drawing or a poem if I wanted it to be.

Friends, I did it. And there were unintended consequences. I wanted to practise (please excuse my confusion about how to spell that word, I can never seem to get it right), which I did, but I didn’t know how much I could improve in such a short time and with such little effort! It was FUN.

I will post my sketches below for you to see for yourself. I graduated to being a person who makes her own sketchbooks & notebooks a few years ago. These are the simplest ones ever: 2 punched holes, ribbon, paper and card. I’ve got one that is about A6 and one that is about A7 they fit in my pockets along with a pencil or two.

Reading

We visited Ruskin’s house, Brantwood, on Lake Coniston and it’s full of his quotations. Here is an exquisite one:

Exercise

Perhaps you could set yourself a mini no - threatening challenge over the next little while? We have a long weekend for Easter here in the UK. Four days off (all being well). If you have capacity, why not pick a mini challenge? Not necessarily to improve at anything but just to do it!

Sending love and blessing,

Deb x

BONUS tiny to do: put your hand in or on the ground.
